The Accident

" It happened so fast. In an instant, I lost a companion. He was born in 1981, just as I was. My classical guitar was beautiful. It is gone."

The Accident Series is based on the unplanned destruction of the artist's guitar. Kim owned the guitar for many years and it was very special to her. The guitar was dropped; the head separated completely from the neck. Only the strings held the instrument together. Kim realized that she needed to express her sense of loss, and so this gave birth to the Accident Series.
