Field of Flowers

 "The mountainous valley represents my memories of growing up in California, not a physical place."

In one of her largest pieces, Kim Johns allows her brush to express hope and wonder freely.  The piece rivals the Wizard of Oz for color and brilliance.  The viewer shivers a bit on the cooler edges of the painting before the warm golden sunlight bathes them in contentment.  The path leads to a new beginning.
