Eve

 "The biblical stories of the past contain social commentary that is still relevant today ."

The moment that Eve touched the apple, humanity became earthly.  Eve holds the luscious fruit at bay while she is rooted to the ground and further apart from God.  Sin takes us further away from God today.  We don't suffer as Adam and Eve did with Christ as our Savior.
